In order to understand the issues regarding the contemporary world economy and make intelligent decisions, one must have suitable abilities. The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration offers students the best opportunity to develop these abilities. These abilities include analytical skills to find and solve a problem as well as ability to communicate with others in a persuasive fashion. Needless to say, these abilities and skills are indispensable to those students who will work in business in the future. Students will gain a deeper understanding of their fields of specialization through a variety of courses in Business Administration, Accounting and Economics.
The Department of Business Administration enables students to take a global perspective in resolving issues of business problems, while the Department of Accounting gives students an accurate understanding of accounting numbers, which is now the business language shared by business persons in the world. The Department of Economics equips the students with the global standard economics, including strong skills of quantitative analysis.

STUDENTS LEARN TO LEAD ORGANIZATIONS IN BUSINESS AND THE PUBLIC SECTOR, AND TO PRACTICE PROBLEM-SOLVING MANAGEMENT.

Business administration theory evolved from the study of business, but today it is successfully utilized in many types of organization, from civil service to hospitals and NPOs. In YCU's Department of Business Administration,students will learn management theory and practice through the study of Management,Business Administration,Management Strategy,International Business,Human Resources Management,Business Finance,and Marketing. We then ensure that our students are ready to apply their knowledge to the analysis of social phenomena, understanding of strategy and organization, and identification of issues and problem-solving.

Department of Accounting

LEARN ACCOUNTING THEORY, AND UNDERSTANDING BUSINESS MANAGEMENT FROM A NUMBERS PERSPECTIVE.

The Department of Accounting adds knowledge of Japanese and international accounting standards, business law and tax law after learning basic accounting theories that enable an accurate measurement of business performance. Based on this cornerstone, students will also learn skills for analyzing financial statements, methods for improving business performance, and corporate valuation methods which are the basis for making stock investment decisions.

TEACHING STUDENTS TO UNDERSTAND ECONOMICS AND FINANCIAL THEORY AND GIVING THEM THE ABILITY TO ANALYZE QUANTITATIVELY.

The Department of Economics offer students with opportunities to understand economic issues and develop their abilities to analyze economic problems quantitatively as well as qualitatively. After gaining fundamental knowledge of Micro Economics,Macro Economics,and Econometrics,students of YCU's Department of Economics will learn methods to analyze and understand social and economic phenomena related to government policies,political economy,international trade and finance,and increasingly interdependent global economy. Students will then be ready to maintain a sense of balance between rigorous analysis and humane thoughtfulness with Alfred Marshall's"cool head and warm heart。"
